With the launch of the new Glogal Rockstar Magazine we are introducing some minor changes to the Artist of the Week and Artist of the Month contest. Here’s how it works!
AOTD – Artist of the Day
Our scouts screen every new submission to Global Rockstar for safety reasons like copyright infringement or violent content and we are constantly screening the music in search of the good stuff.
Every weekday, Monday to Friday, we select one submission as Artist of the Day (AOTD), mostly from the previous few weeks but sometimes we go back in time even further. On the same day, shortly after 2pm CET, we publish a post about the AOTD on Global Rockstar Magazine. The artist receives an email informing her/him about this.
Once you have been chosen as AOTD you can compete for Artist of the Week by motivating your fans to comment on the magazine post about you.
AOTW – Artist of the Week
Each Artist of the Week competition starts on Monday at 2pm CET and ends the following Monday at 4pm CET.
The five Artists of the Day, from the previous week, compete against each other. The artist receiving the most comments on the Global Rockstar Magazine during the week is appointed Artist of the Week by a Global Rockstar Magazine post the following Tuesday.
Two awesome things happen to the Artist of the Week:
• Win an AKG D5 microphone
• Move forward to the Artist of the Month competition
Each subsequent AOTW competition starts right after the end of the previous competition.
Every first Tuesday of the month we will post on the Global Rockstar Magazine the links to the previous AOTW posts. Starting with the publication of the post (around 6pm CET) until the following Friday 4pm CET, we ask fans for feedback and comments on the linked AOTW posts.
A post on Global Rockstar Magazine on Friday around 6pm CET will declare the AOTM and the winner of an AKG WMS 420 wireless system!
The Artist Of The Week wins an AKG D5 Microphone!
The D5 professional dynamic vocal microphone for lead and backing vocals delivers a powerful sound even on the noisiest stage. Its frequency-independent supercardioid polar pattern ensures maximum gain before feedback.
The D5 stands for a crisp sound that cuts through every mix. The dual shock mount eliminates any kind of mechanical noise for trouble-free live use. The audience will hear the pristine sound of your voice!
The Artist Of The Month wins an AKG WMS 420 Wireless Microphone!
The WMS420 wireless microphone system provides a highly flexible as well as easy to use solution. The ultra high frequency system is set up within seconds and is equally suitable on stage as well as in locations where a single- or multi channel solution is needed.
The entire WMS420 wireless system consists of the SR420 stationary receiver, HT420 handheld transmitter and the PT420 pocket transmitter.
